SHE NOW TURNED TO FACE THE SUN🌞 by Jonathan Ellis 🎸

The sun poured its light

From a gap in the curtain

Blown gently aside

By, the movement of air coming in

From an open window

A soft-scented breeze

Permeated through the air

Rising, from flower beds

And seeping into the room

Filling it with sweet aromas

That touched the woman emotionally

As she sat Lost in her own, private thoughts

She turned her head toward the sweet-smelling fragrance

Smiling at the benevolence

Of an innocent intrusion

She was then, magically transported

Off to some mystical land

Of a forgotten fantasy

In her mind’s eye

Many visions now filled her head

As the myriad of scents

Each one brings new inspiration

And creativity in words for her book

She now turned to face the sun

Slightly squinting her beautiful eyes

Against the brilliant light

It was a glorious day outside

Distant sounds could be heard

From the busy streets

She momentarily listened

As if to hear her name being called

By some unheard voice lost in a crowd of language

But the voice was, her own

Calling her, back from the rose-pelleted dream

She looked away from the window

Gently sighed, and smiled again

She now turned to face the sun

THE DESOLATE STRETCHES OF MIND🔮 By Gautam K Mirchandani ❇️

A calm ship sails on raging seas

Forest on fire stands a lone tree

We do not care for what we do not see

Like vultures at a bountiful feed

Find a key in the swirling sands

To the desolate stretches of the mind

DARLING GOODBYE 💏

It started all over again

I have to see why you don’t understand.

I took a swear and vow

To defend the land you know

I will return I promise you

This will happen we always knew

No! Tears darling no tears

Listen to me dear

Please baby don’t cry
